MacBook Pro: Repairs, Fault-Finding & Troubleshooting Service in London
We've been fixing Macs for 23 years and have literally 'seen it all'. For emergencies we offer a one hour response time within the M25 as our workshop is in Notting Hill Gate.
Most of the time we can get your MacBook Pro working again without needing to take it to our workshop; however if we have to take it away then we can get it back to you the next day. We carry a stock of loan machines to keep you working as far as possible, and can pick up and drop off if required.

About the MacBook Pro
The MacBook Pro is Apple's top-end laptop. All models in the 2010 range are under 1 inch high, with weights ranging from 2-3 kilos (between 41/2 and 61/2 pounds) depending on screen size and feature set.
Processors start at 2.4GHz, with options on all size models to go up to 2.6GHz; 4Gb of RAM is standard across the range. Hard disk sizes start at 250Gb (with a 320Gb option on the 13 inch), then 320 Gb (with 500Gb option) on the 15 inch, and finally 500Gb on the 17 inch. Solid state drives (128Gb, 256Gb and 512Gb) are also available on all models.
A built-in optical drive is standard and CDs and DVDs can be played/burnt at up to 8 times DVD speed and 24 times CD speed. The 256Mb graphics card is from NVIDIA.
Screen resolutions of up to 1280 x 800 pixels (13"), 1440 x 900 pixels (15") and 1920 x 1200 (17") are supported and all models will drive external monitors up to 30" and 2560 x 1600 pixels. Additionally, non-glossy display is available as an option on the 15" and 17" models.
WiFi, Bluetooth and Gigabit Ethernet protocols are all supported. Apple's MagSafe power lead is (as the name suggests) magnetic, so if someone trips over the mains lead then no harm will come to them, the lead, or your laptop - because the lead just pops away.
A backlit keyboard adjusts according to ambient lighting and the trackpad is 'Multi-Touch', meaning you can use two, three or four fingers to rotate, zoom in or out, scroll and track as you wish.
All models have built-in stereo speakers with subwoofer, a microphone, the iSight webcam, and a Kensington lock slot (which allows you to fit a security chain). Standard ports across the range are
- audio analogue input / digital output (two separate digital/analogue ins/outs on the 15" and 17")
- two USB ports (three on the 17")
- MiniDisplay port (supports DVI, VGA and HDMI)
- FireWire 800 port
- SD card slot (ExpressCard on the 17")
